I recently attended a personal colour analysis and makeup lesson at Beauty Day Korea, and it was an incredibly welcoming and informative experience. When I first reached out to Kangwon via email, she promptly provided me with clear and detailed information about the packages, including a cost breakdown and itinerary. She gave me ample time to decide without any pressure or hard-selling.

During the colour analysis, the makeup artist thoroughly explained the various concepts behind the personal colour palette. Despite having redness on my cheeks, she offered helpful suggestions on the types of clothes I could wear to minimise the redness instead of being critical of my skin. The makeup artist even shared a Pinterest board with outfit inspirations tailored to my skin tone.

I arrived at the session knowing very little about makeup. So what I appreciated most was the hands-on practice during the session; the makeup artist guided me through techniques such as curling my eyelashes and shaping my eyebrows, patiently helping me even though I struggled and took quite long to learn some of the techniques. She was also very open to answering any questions that I had, shared useful makeup technique tips with me and made an effort to explain to me why she chose to use certain products based on my skin tone/type. Kangwon’s live translation was clear and timely, which greatly enhanced my learning experience. They even allowed me to record the entire session on my smartphone for future reference. At the end, the makeup artist let me take photos of the products she used, so I could purchase them later.

Beauty Day Korea is a service that some of my friends used when we went to Korea on our last trip. After seeing how happy they were with what they did and booked, I really wanted to try it out for my spring trip to Seoul! I decided to book a photoshoot (with Sanhomansion!!), a favorite kpop MUA, skincare treatment, and some image analysis services. I know I can do it myself, but it really helps to have someone who’s fluent in the native language reach out to these places as Papago/Google Translate isn’t accurate enough. I picked some of the services Beauty Day Korea offers, but I had specific photoshoot/MUAs in mind so she was very helpful with that. I had so much fun with the photoshoot and MUA that I’ll definitely do it again. Kangwon provided such detailed instructions to get to each place that I had no issue finding anything! It was really sweet of her and she made sure everything went smoothly. I loved the skincare clinic we went to as well and she was very detailed with all her product recommendations as well. She really works with experts to make sure you get the best services possible. If you’re going to Korea and you’re unsure of what to book or what to do, she really does make the process easier and less stressful. 100% would return for my next Korea Trip (hopefully, I can get pictures taken again!!).

I booked a color analysis with beauty day Korea. The space is super beautiful and inviting. It was super fun, Kangwon was extremely helpful with the translation and added to the great atmosphere. I learned so much about adding harmony to my wardrobe which helped improve my confidence. I look forward to implementing what I’ve learned. If I’m ever back in Korea I know where to go for additional services.

Kangwon was really helpful and responsive to all my questions. It was my first time going to Seoul & it was a great way to get my beauty needs in without having to do research myself. It was a short trip so we only did the head spa, & the photoshoot package! What was nice about booking through her is she still responded to any concerns I had after. Which I really appreciated. I booked the skin care analysis package for two. The communication was excellent, organized and in a timely manner. The experience itself is something you’ll rarely find elsewhere and worth the wait. It’s very foreigner friendly. And our translator was so cute and friendly. They gave us numerous recommendations based on our skin needs and gave us pointers. They were very open to questions and I would highly recommend.
